These drawings from 2019–2020 were an exciting way for me to return to more serious art through the lens of extreme detail. While I enjoyed the challenge of producing these portraits, the process eventually felt a bit too restrictive and time-consuming. These ultimately served as a bridge to the expressive freedom I eventually found in water media.
